Financial institutions are increasingly using our services to trace loan defaulters who have disappeared often owing huge amounts of money. In one recent case in Dublin, a high street bank referred such a trace to us whereby the individual, a business owner, had defaulted on lease repayments with €76,000 still outstanding. He had closed the business, moved house and failed to notify the bank of his whereabouts. Within 24hours of receiving papers from our client, we had traced the individual to his new residence in County Meath and served court papers on him for recovery of outstanding funds.
